MEET THE ARTIST

After growing up in Dallas, Texas for eighteen years, I relocated to Cleveland, Ohio to pursue my love of art. I am an illustrator, designer, and writer specializing in science fiction and fantasy concept art for film and television.

I’m inspired by my favorite movies, video games, and books to create imaginative and compelling narrative art. My interests in worldbuilding and storytelling are expressed through vibrant and dramatic scenes involving diverse creatures and characters. While I work primarily on my tablet in Procreate, I am also experienced in Adobe software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and enjoy working traditionally in my sketchbook to flesh out ideas and work through concepts. My sketchbooking style includes a mix of found material, ink, and graphite, and is inspired by scrapbooking. I have a background in acrylic painting, and still lean towards displaying chunky brushstrokes and textural lines in my art. I enjoy playing with lighting and atmosphere. I have sold prints of my work in artist alleys and hung my work in Cleveland galleries, and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration and a minor in Illustration from the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Having spent a vast majority of my childhood reading as many books as I could get my hands on, I also developed a passion for writing. I enjoy reading and writing character-driven sci-fi and fantasy narratives for young adult audiences. I have written multiple sequential and freestanding fictional short stories, and I’m currently working on my first novella, which I hope to publish someday.

When I’m not in the studio, I can be found playing my favorite video games with a cup of coffee (likely the third cup of the day) in hand and with my cat, Pippin, in my lap. I also enjoy tending to my plants and reading, and when I get to visit my family, I spend as much time as possible cuddling with my Weimaraner, Jäger.
